Processors
The Processor, is the brain and work horse of the server and the single most important chip in the computer. Vault Networks currently offers single core, dual core and dual core processors for enhanced system performance.
-
Memory
System RAM, or memory, refers to the amount of data that can be stored on its journey from the hard drives to the processors, and vice versa. With more RAM, the processor will have to retrieve information from the hard drives less often, helping to speed the overall performance of the system. While some daemons, such as httpd and SQL, require more RAM than others, all applications can benefit from increased memory. Vault Networks servers feature DDR2 and DDR3 memory, which is designed to improve system performance and reduce power consumption keeping components cooler.

Primary Hard Drive
When selecting a RAID solution, you must select hard drives that have the same capacity (GB) and speed (RPM). This rule only applies within drive arrays. The primary drive is where your operating system and other essential files are stored.
-
2nd Hard Drive
When selecting a RAID solution, you must select hard drives that have the same capacity (GB) and speed (RPM). This rule only applies within drive arrays. The Secondary drive is used for mirroring the Primary drive, additional storage space, or backing up critical files on the primary drive.
-
3rd Hard Drive
When selecting a RAID solution, you must select hard drives that have the same capacity (GB) and speed (RPM). This rule only applies within drive arrays. The Secondary drive is used for mirroring the Primary drive, additional storage space, or backing up critical files on the primary drive.
-
4th Hard Drive
When selecting a RAID solution, you must select hard drives that have the same capacity (GB) and speed (RPM). This rule only applies within drive arrays. The Secondary drive is used for mirroring the Primary drive, additional storage space, or backing up critical files on the primary drive.

Raid Subsystem
We recommend at least a RAID 1 configuration for all servers in order to protect your business data. RAID 1 requires 2 hard drives of the same size and mirrors your data to the 2nd hard drive. Raid 1 can be configured using the either software or Vault Networks recommended hardware raid configuration.
-
Operating System
Vault Networks provides your choice of preinstalled server operating systems that have been optimized to ensure that your server is optimized for internet applications (Centos, Redhat Linux, Windows, and more).
-
Control Panel
Vault Networks provides your choice of two pre-installed server control panel software programs to make server administration easy (Plesk and cPanel). Server control panels automate system and site management tasks and provide a graphical user interface for administration.
-
Network Transfer
Network transfer is available via per Gigabyte transferred or capped unmetered ports. Applications that demand high bandwidth utilization should choose one of our unmetered plans.
-
Firewall
Secure your Internet hosting environment with fully managed transparent hardware firewalls. Our managed firewall services include 24x7 monitoring, updates, and hotfixes.
-
Uplink Port Speed
The uplink port speed is the speed in which your new dedicated server will connect to our switching fabric.
-
Ip Addresses
Every server includes the use of 3 Ip addresses within a private vlan. Additional Ips can be added to the system if needed.
-
IP-KVM
Our Ip-KVM service allows you to have the most controller over a dedicated server ever given to the end user. Ip-KVM service allows you to access the bios, watch the server boot up. An optional DVD-rom with operating system cd can be installed for OS reinstalls and/or system diagnosis.

Private Switch
Private Switch ports are used to connect each of your dedicated servers together on a private network. Common uses include backing up servers between one another and accessing backend services such as SQL Server. Ports are available in speeds of 100Mbps and 1000Mbps. Included with each port is unlimited transfer.
