Network Connectivity

Vault Networks’ one-stop data center services are bundled with a full spectrum of connectivity services to help you improve uptime, interconnectivity, cross connections, and availability.

Located in the heart of downtown Miami, Florida, Vault Networks’ cloud, colocation, and dedicated hosting facilities sit in an area with numerous telecom carrier hubs, fiber loops, international cable landings and multiple power grids, making it a primary exchange point for high levels of traffic between the United States, Europe and Latin America. Via this massive and diverse connectivity, VN delivers world-class services to customers all over the globe.

State-of-the-art Connectivity

The Vault Networks network has been designed and engineered for availability and scalability. Our network gives you secure transport for your mission-critical applications. From design right down to on-the-ground implementation, our data center and network are optimized for speed, flexibility and security across the full spectrum of IP transport services. We understand the need for flexibility in today’s environment and have ensured that our network can easily meet the dynamic demands of current business applications. Leveraging outstanding fiber entrance facilities, we deploy the ‘best of breed’ in carrier-class layer 2, 3 & 4 switching and intelligent traffic engineering platforms. This means that all our customers – around the globe – have the advantage of getting value-added services like security, redundancy and 24×7 monitoring of network health and utilization, besides service availability at wire speed straight from our core!

Cisco Powered Network

Every Vault Networks server is connected to a Cisco switching gear with redundant uplink connections, redundant processing engines, and redundant power supplies. There is no reason why the connection to your server should ever be lost.

Network Redundancy

Vault Networks uses multiple tier 1 service providers to allow your customers to view your website as fast as possible. In addition to the multiple Tier 1 carriers, we also have a complete meshed network. There are multiple core routers and multiple core switches. If any pieces were to fail, there would be NO customers affected by this failure.

Routing

Vault Networks runs the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP4) for best case routing. The BGP4 protocol is a standard that allows for the routing of packets of information sent out from our network. Each packet of information is evaluated and sent over the best route possible. Because of our redundant network architecture, packets may be sent via alternative routes even if they are being delivered to the same end user. Should one of our providers fail, packets leaving our network are automatically redirected through another route via a different provider.

Network Security

The Vault Networks’ network is a fully switched network. Traffic destined for a website hosted on a server is sent only through switching equipment necessary to deliver the information to that server. This minimizes the risk of someone sniffing or capturing traffic being sent across the network. Furthermore, Vault Networks vigorously prosecutes persons who generate malicious attacks on our internal network.

Ultra Fast, Ultra Reliable

Vault Networks’ data center features numerous dedicated, redundant backbone networks that connect them to the public IP network using multiple high speed Gig-E lines. This ensures that the risk of single-point failure is virtually eliminated, guaranteeing our customers the maximum possible network uptime. Also, our flow control platform ensures that your data always travels down the fastest available route over the Internet. With us, compromising on speed is simply not an option. When you connect to the Vault Networks network, you get what you pay for, literally! Customers using our colocation facilities don’t need to worry about lack of speed. Our network architecture is non-blocking – we use state-of-the-art Cisco routers and switches that provide matchless service quality – so that your bandwidth is available and reserved for you at all times. Vault Networks’ network maintains exceptionally high standards when it comes to performance levels – our data centers are equipped to provide you with additional backbone and internal network capacity as soon as the network touches 50% utilization.

The Vault Networks Internet backbone utilizes premium Tier-1 bandwidth providers, ensuring minimal latency and fast connectivity. Multiple global carriers service Vault Networks, including INTERNAP, FiberLight, AT&T, TW Telecom, Comcast Business Class, Verizon Business, Level 3, Global Crossing, Qwest, Florida Power & Light, Savvis, and XO Communications. With this vast selection of carriers, you gain greater flexibility when designing your managed hosting solution. Our technical team can establish cross-connects in an industry-best turnaround time of less than 24 hours.
